SCOLIOSIS.
Scoliosis is a disease in which the spine is constantly in a stable position deviated from a straight line. This condition has both an aesthetic effect and physiological consequences that cause serious health problems.
Curvature of the spine can be observed already at an early age (infantile and juvenile idiopathic types). Scoliosis is more pronounced in children and adolescents aged 10-15 years (adolescent idiopathic type). The problem lies in the fact that a sitting person most of all loads the spine (after all, the back muscles are relaxed). A child who spends a lot of time at a school desk in the wrong position has a rather high risk of developing scoliosis.
Scoliosis degrees
There are several types of scoliosis, distinguished by various characteristics.
By area of curvature:
-
simple - the only curvature of the spine;
-
complex - curvature in several places;
-
total - the entire spine has undergone curvature.
According to the degree of deformation, depending on the load:
-
fixed;
-
unfixed.
By the time of development of scoliosis:
-
infantile idiopathic - development before the age of 2 years;
-
juvenile idiopathic - development at the age of 2 to 10 years;
-
teenage (otherwise adolescent) idiopathic - development at the age of 10 to 15 years.
Scoliosis occurs for various reasons, but in any case, it has an extremely negative effect on health. A curved spine causes compression and displacement of internal organs. As a result, a person develops additional diseases:
-
of cardio-vascular system;
-
digestive systems;
-
breathing;
-
arthrosis of the joints;
-
organs of the reproductive system in women.
Scoliosis treatment.
Treatment of scoliosis with subsequent complete recovery is possible if the spine has not yet undergone irreversible changes. If changes do occur, then it is necessary to begin treatment that can stop further curvature and improve the patient's current condition. That is why it is very important to identify and start treating scoliosis in time.
Kinesiology diagnostics allows us to make the correct diagnosis with the highest accuracy and, on its basis, develop a course of rehabilitation. All this happens already at the first appointment with a specialist, which saves precious time: the fight against the disease begins literally immediately when the patient contacts us!
